June Meeting

We were back at Broadbeach Library for our June meeting - inspired by our recent visits to the Winter Wonders exhibition and the 11th Avenue Creative opening.  Leona showed off her Margaret Smit hat from the exhibition, and Maggie brought her poem from the opening.  Lilyan displayed some gorgeous South African textiles and Linda shared some felting she had done in the UK with Sheila Smith and Liz Clay.  Eileen had created some beautifully embellished glasses cases. Patti displayed her stunning bookcover, organza rose and showed how she had converted the top section of her upholstery sample into a beautiful clothes hanger.  Helen brought some books of interest for workshop next week, and Carolyn showed us her fabric journal ...which lead very nicely into our activity which was to create some fabric journal pages.
