March meeting
What a fabulous meeting we had today at Broadbeach Library! Linda showed us how to create a slip-on book cover for a journal or notepad - very easy and they can be as simple or as embellished as you like. They make wonderful gifts. Can't wait to see the finished articles at next month's show and tell. The theme of today's meeting was lace, which I find to be so evocative. A beautiful piece of lace can evoke such memories. And the skill and time that goes into a handmade piece makes it something to be cherished. Leonora brought some exquisite samples of vintage lace - such fine pulled threadwork. and she also shared some of her beautiful creations which featured lace. Linda had been experimenting with eco-dyeing and brought some examples to share. Love the colours.
