Next meeting reminder

Just a reminder:

Our next meeting is on this Saturday, 18th June, in the meeting room at Broadbeach Library from 10 am to 2pm

Don't forget to bring materials for the fabric art journal activity as per Maggie's email;

Lilyan will bring some A4 sized calico to make the base of our pages. If you want to bring your own fabric for the base, chose something which is not too floppy.
The A4 size can make a double page or a single one if you want to work on a larger format.
Think about what colours and themes you might like to use.

• Bring small scraps of fabrics to use – brightly coloured, textured, patterned, but not too thick.
• Trimmings: think lace, ribbons, buttons, beads, different coloured threads, fibres – anything that can be use for embellishment.
• A Glue stick (UHU, Pritt etc) would be good so you can experiment with the placement of your fabrics before you start to stitch them.
• A sewing kit
• Fabric crayons, Shiva Stiks, pens – anything which you can use on fabric. NOT paints or anything messy as we will be in the Library.

The main idea is to have some fun!
