11th Avenue Creative, Palm Beach Community Lounge and Library.

Helen, Leona and I went to the opening of 11th Avenue Creative in Palm Beach last Thursday. What an exciting new venture! We met representatives from different groups who are using the centre for knitting, calligraphy, painting, card making, quilting and other crafts as well as displays of simple computer coding and Lego.

11th Avenue Creative is a creative community space at Palm Beach Community Lounge and Library, for artists, crafts people, film makers and STEM (science, technology, mathematics, and engineering) enthusiasts to learn, create, collaborate and share their ideas and experience. 

Not-for-profit groups or individuals that are interested in running or participating in workshops or using the space are encouraged to contact your local library or City Libraries on 5581 6788.

    I think it would be a great space when we need to use sewing machines, etc. Particularly of a weekend or weekday afternoon when the library is closed as we don't have to worry about the noise disrupting people.
