Shibori techniques - February meeting

11th Avenue Creative was abuzz today - first of all with a fantastic turn out to Helen & Carolyn’s Paint a postcard community workshop. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves, and to feel the energy in the room.

Then it was Lilyan’s turn to guide us through a range of shibori techniques in preparation for our indigo dyeing workshop at Kirra Hill next month.


Lilyan and Margret brought in lots of samples to inspire us ...


... and soon we were stitching, folding, pleating, clamping, and wrapping away!

What a wonderful way to spend the day!
