Leona's capelet

As I won't be at the November meeting I thought I would post a couple of pictures of my mostly finished capelet from Svenja's workshop - modelled by the lovely Joy Webster!

A few addional beads in a couple of places and it will be done!   I love the texture and will definetly be experimenting more with the technique into the future.

And in a shameless plug ... my tabard that I created at Nancy Ballesteros' Shifting Shapes in Silk workshop will be on display at Robina Gallery over the next two weeks as part of the City of Gold Coast Council Officers Exhibitition - if you are in the area, please drop in an take a look.

  1. Love these contrasting pieces. The tabard is truly wonderful with its vibrant strong splashes of colour. The cape, so soft and feminine.

  2. Love the colours in the tabard!
The capulet is also stunning. Can't wait to see them both. Maybe you could run a similar workshop for those of us who couldn't get to the felting day!

  3. Just returned to the land of Internet access after our travels so have just seen these gorgeous garments! Great to see a nearly finished capelet - love the way that you've incorporated the lace as an edging. The tabard has great colour contrast which works so well - Congratulations!
The tunic you showed at the October meeting was also beautiful.
