Lilyan's ATASDA display

This was a piece done for the ATASDA guild stand at the Quilt and Craft Show using fabric dyed at a Wendi Trulsen workshop. The fabric was jersey silk/cotton mixture dyed in a sandwich. I used various gum leaves, silver dollar, onion skin, with a green sari silk thread. This was quilted onto an A4 size wool fabric in gold thread and finished with blanket stitch using eco dyed silk thread.

ReplyDeleteI truly thought I'd posted a comment earlier, but might not have hit the 'publish' key! I remember this piece in its original state and I think you've quilted and finished it in style - the gold thread really brings out the peachy tones from the silver dollar (?) Well done!
