Lilyan's ATASDA display

Posted on behalf of Lilyan.

This was a piece done for the ATASDA guild stand at the Quilt and Craft Show using fabric dyed at a Wendi Trulsen workshop. The fabric was jersey silk/cotton mixture dyed in a sandwich. I used various gum leaves, silver dollar, onion skin, with  a green sari silk thread. This was quilted onto an A4 size wool fabric in gold thread and finished with blanket stitch using eco dyed silk thread.

  2. I truly thought I'd posted a comment earlier, but might not have hit the 'publish' key! I remember this piece in its original state and I think you've quilted and finished it in style - the gold thread really brings out the peachy tones from the silver dollar (?) Well done!
