Thank you for such a great day Sue. It was wonderful to see some of your pieces and hear the stories behind them. I'm sure we will be incorporating a number of the techniques you showed us in our work over the next few months.
Hi Wild Women I'm happy to report that my recent entries into the Gold Coast Show awarded me 2nd and 3rd prizes in millinery and a great big 1st in the dream catcher section. Wasn't fit enough to go to the show when it was on, so it was a real thrill when collecting them to see their certificates attached. It is hard not to smile when you see the quirky and joyous work of our fourth artist, Carolyn. But look closer and you see layers of complexity, of technique and meaning.
These are different angle photos of the hat I made for the Little Hats for Happiness project which raises funds and awareness for Australian mental health.
It's a great photo! It was fascinating to see what effects you could achieve from the most mundane objects.
ReplyDeleteHi all Wild Women, thanks for inviting me to access your blog. Look forward to seeing more results from the workshop.
